A rep or repetition is the completed iteration (one time) of an exercise. Most exercises, especially those associated with strength training, involve several reps.

Set

Sets are a collection of repetitions (reps) for a specific exercise. An exercise routine might include several sets, and each set might include several reps. An example: Bench Press – do three sets at a given weight of at least eight reps per set.

TUT

Time Under Tension – the amount of time a muscle or muscle group remains under strain (tension) during a rep. Some believe longer TUT is better for muscle development but research shows the optimal time for a rep is 2 to 7 seconds.
